TAHC was please to participate in the Atlanta K-9 Daze event held on October 4th at Wills Park in Alpharetta.  TAHC was one of the 28 dog and specialty breed clubs which participated in the “Meet the Breed” booths to share information about their specific breeds.  TAHC, in conjunction with MAWA, set up a booth to help educate the public on our breed.  The day was full of children wanting to see the “pretty, hairy” dog.  We do believe the Afghan Hound was the breed to see that day, seeming to get all the attention, although that is not surprising to any of us. Special thanks to Kayleen, Jyll, Kenny and Chris for bringing your dogs out for the public to enjoy. They were a hit!

The Tara Afghan Hound Club is having a raffle for an aluminum non-folding East Coast Crate. This is a 450 size and has a grooming table top and a bracket for an arm. This crate does not come with an arm. This crate comes in a gorgeous blue color and is valued at over $900.00. Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00. The drawing will be held Saturday 10-11-08 at our Specialty show.
